This was my first taste of Mary Connealy's writing and I see the potential for a terrible lifelong addiction!! I loved meeting these characters -- these strong women were incredible!! Beth, Sally, Mandy are all worth getting to know and having around in fight! There are so many good people in these stories that you wish you were related to all of them. The men are something else too -- the good, the bad and the ugly - who are easy to identify due to the white streak in their hair. Each sister's story draws you in and fleshes out all the other characters -- Sophie, the ma who bore these backbone of steel women, and Pa, who will defend them them from all suitors, even the good ones, because that's his duty! The incredible obstacles each family faces, and how they depend on their faith and each other, but have faith in their own abilities and never back down, gives hours of entertainment! This is quality fiction -- action packed -- full of longing and romance -- and a wonderful sense of family!

I have recently discovered Mary Connealy's books and I am so glad that I did. The characters are so well developed that you can't help but feel like you know them. When these same characters show up in other books, it's great to read a little more about them and see what's been happening in their lives. Ms. Conealy's writing is extremely engaging. Her sense of humor shines through. The books show the characters' faith without being preachy and the story lines are so interesting that it's hard to put them down. Two thumbs up!
The whole series was hilarious! I loved the action, excitement, and romanced. It was so shocking to see the other characters show up on a new series. I would recommend this to everyone! I could not stop laughing and wanting a callous trigger finger. Thank God I have another awesome Christian author again!!!!!
I LOVED the first book - Doctor in Petticoats! I loved spending more time with Clay & Sophie and their family - a few years down the road. I loved intersecting with Silas & Belle from another of this author's trilogies. The humor, the redemption, the strength, the romance - loved it all!

The second one - Wrangler in Petticoats - was sweet, and I liked it too. But it wasn't as much my cup of tea as the other two.

Sharpshooter in Petticoats - the final book in this trilogy - made me laugh and cry and ache from its "at last"-ness at times. A perfect ending to the series and a fitting goodbye to the family we've been following for 6 books.
Mary Connealy's done it again! Her dialogue often makes me smile, she has such a good sense of humor. In this trilogy, if I had been Mandy who married Sidney, a no-account full of himself smooth talker, I would have been very, very tempted to walk away from the marriage. But in that time period, it would have been very unacceptable. I loved how she brought different characters back in from her earlier books about Sophie and the girls when they were young. It was fun to see how each of the daughters, Mandy, Beth and Sally, each faced their challenges in ways that were totally in character with who she had drawn them to be. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will probably reread it since I devoured it during my first reading!!
Five stars for suspense. Five for humor. Five for Western flavor. Five for historical accuracy. Five for grabbing the reader's attention. Five for holding it. Five for three really good stories. Five for truly stupid, evil villains. Five for fallible, loveable heroes and heroines. But each story could be improved with more thorough proofreading, a weakness in all the editions I've read, not just these books.
Mary always delivers heartwarming stories of love and family. These three stories are of three free thinking independent woman. Who meet men that are the very opposite of them. Picture them in the old west with stagecoaches, and women stayed at home. Readers will cherish and laugh at these three stories
It's been awhile since I read books from this author. I remember them because I read them a few years ago when I cared for my dying mother.... So I think that's why I remember them so clearly. I read the three from the Montana Marriages set, but purchased those books individually. Before I read this set, I read the "Lassoed in Texas Trilogy". While the books do stand on their own it's much better I think to read the others before. That way you remember the other characters that are brought back to life such as Belle and her family.

I can't recommend this enough. Excellent read that lead me though a lot of emotions...... I truly loved how the author mentioned people you read in past books and it made it even more real and come to life even more. I just wish there was more, to read about the other characters and their stories and life as they grow up......

This has to be one of my favorite authors and I'll be looking for more........
